The boy, the fence and the nails.

A boy was getting a sense of satisfaction when he's hitting these nails into the fence.

Day by day, he would knock in a nail or two into that fence. It's sort of fun.

When an elder found out of what he'd done to the fence, he was unsurprisingly displeased.

He confronted the boy but he wasn't fazed.

The boy would carry on hitting in a nail or two.

Day after day, the elder tried to reason with the boy... About what he's doing to the fence.

And after a long time... The boy got to like the elder. They really got along.

And he'd started to see why he shouldn't be hitting nails into the wall.

And really, he's sort of getting bored of it. And the fence is starting to look kind of ugly to him.

Some fine day, the boy decided to start taking nails out of the fence.

A nail or two per day... It's starting to give him some satisfaction!

It's kind of fun...

Eventually all the nails were out of the fence and the elder celebrated with the boy of his good actions.

There was just a thing that still bothered the boy, everytime he would walk pass that  particular fence...

It's full of holes... And... You can't really fix that.

Those were the consequences of his actions. Of the decisions that he made without giving them a good thought.

P.s. This story was told by my Principal when I was primary 3. It's probably quite different but it's somewhere there.

It's about not making mistakes that you would regret later - about the irreversible consequences (of let's say... crimes.)

Don't do it.
